PHNOM PENH, 15 February 2013 (The Cambodia Herald) -- The National Assembly approved
Friday a bill giving the green light to a controversial $780 million
hydropower dam on the Sesan River in Steung Treng province.
Energy
Minister Suy Sem defended the bill. "The hydropower dam construction
project on the Sesan has been evaluated two times already with full
discussions," he told lawmakers.
